How to screencast with the Pico G3?

Screencasting allows you to project in real-time what you see on the Pico G3 to another device, such as a PC or TV. It’s very useful for demos, training, or group presentations.

1. Enable screencast from the headset

To start a screencast:

  • Open the Quick Menu from your Pico G3.
  • Select the Screencast or Cast Screen option.

You’ll then be able to choose between casting to a web browser or casting to a Smart TV.

2. Cast to a web browser

To cast to a computer or any device with a browser:

  • On the headset, select Cast to Browser.
  • A unique web address will appear on screen.
  • On the receiving device, open a browser, enter the address, and click Start Screen Sharing.
  • On the headset, confirm the cast by clicking Allow.

This is ideal for casting to a PC without extra equipment.

3. Cast to a Smart TV

To cast directly to a television:

  • On your TV, open the Miracast or Cast for PICO app (depending on the model).
  • On the headset, select Cast to Smart TV.
  • Your TV will appear in the list of available devices.
  • Select your TV and confirm the connection by tapping Allow on the headset.

This method allows wireless and direct casting to a large screen.

4. Requirements for smooth casting

To ensure smooth performance:

  • Both the Pico G3 and the target device must be on the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Use a fast and stable network to avoid lag and ensure good image quality.
  • Some devices may require enabling wireless receiver mode beforehand.

The Pico G3 offers two simple ways to share your VR screen live: to a web browser or a Smart TV. This screencast feature is perfect for showing VR content to others without requiring them to wear a headset.
