How to connect the Pico G3 to your Android device or PC?

The Pico G3 can be connected to an Android smartphone or a computer to facilitate file transfers, screen sharing or app deployment. Here are the possible methods depending on the device used.

1. Connect the Pico G3 to an Android device

The Pico G3 does not offer a dedicated mobile app on Android. However, it can be connected for file transfers or to manage certain settings via USB.

  • Plug the USB-C cable provided with the headset between the Pico G3 and your Android smartphone.
  • A notification will appear in the headset: select file transfer if prompted.
  • On your phone, the headset will appear as a USB device, allowing access to its internal storage.
  • You can then copy files (videos, images, APK files, etc.) into the Pico G3’s folders.

Compatibility may vary depending on the Android phone model. Not all phones support file transfer to the headset.

2. Connect the Pico G3 to a Windows PC

The most common way to connect the Pico G3 to a computer is via a USB-C cable, using data transfer mode.

  • Connect the headset to your PC with a USB-C cable (preferably the original one).
  • In the settings, in the developer section, find the USB connection settings and select file transfer. If it’s not available, make sure USB debugging is enabled.
  • The Pico G3 will appear in Windows File Explorer as a storage device.
  • You can then copy or paste files between the PC and the headset (e.g., APKs, 360° videos, images, or configuration files).

Connecting the Pico G3 to an Android device or a PC lets you get the most out of the headset independently. For professional use, PC connection remains the most reliable method for file transfer and app deployment.
