How to enable USB debugging on Pico Neo 3 Enterprise/Pro (Eye)?

USB debugging allows you to connect the Pico Neo 3 to a computer for advanced uses, such as installing APKs, testing applications, or deploying in a professional environment. This option is primarily intended for developers and IT administrators.

1. Enable developer mode

  1. Open Settings and go to General.
  2. Go to the About section and locate the Software version line.
  3. Click on this line several times in succession.
  4. A new Developer section will appear in the settings. You can now access advanced settings, such as USB debugging.

2. Enable USB debugging

  1. Go back to Settings.
  2. Go to the new Developer section.
  3. Enable the USB debugging option.

This allows the headset to communicate with a computer via a USB cable for file transfer, application installation, or the use of tools such as ADB (Android Debug Bridge).

3. Authorize connection to a computer

  1. Connect the Pico Neo 3 to a computer using a USB-C cable.
  2. In the headset, accept the USB debugging authorization request.
  3. Check the option to always allow this computer if necessary.

The headset is now recognized by the development tools.

4. Things to know

  • USB debugging should remain disabled outside of development or maintenance phases.
  • This option may present a security risk if left enabled on a headset used by multiple people.
  • It is essential for using tools such as ADB.

To enable USB debugging on the Pico Neo 3, you must first enable developer mode, then enable USB debugging in the dedicated options. This feature allows advanced operations such as APK installation or technical maintenance of the headset and should be used with caution in a professional environment.
