How to adjust the IPD on the Meta Quest 3S?

Here’s how to adjust the IPD directly from the Meta Quest 3S interface:

1. Turn on the headset, then pick it up.
2. On the Quest 3S, the lens spacing is adjusted by moving the lenses themselves, gently bringing them closer together or moving them further apart.
3. The headsets offer three preset positions:
   • 58 mm (setting 1),
   • 63 mm (setting 2—default value),
   • 68 mm (setting 3).
4. Check inside the headset to ensure the image is clear.

3. Adapt the setting to your morphology

If you don’t know your exact IPD, you can:

• use a mobile app or a dedicated website to measure it using your smartphone’s front camera,
• ask an optician to provide it if you wear glasses.

If no measurement is available, try gradual adjustments and choose the value that gives you the sharpest image in the center of your field of view, without blurring or distortion at the edges.

4. Check comfort and clarity

Once the IPD is set:

• Test it by launching an app with clear central elements.
• Gently turn your head to ensure the image remains stable.
• If discomfort persists, try a slightly higher or lower setting.
