How to set up the Pico G3 for the first time?

The initial setup of the Pico G3 is essential to ensure a smooth experience tailored to your professional or personal use. Here are the steps to follow from the first startup.

1. Turn on the headset

Press and hold the power button located on the side of the headset for a few seconds until the Pico logo appears on the screen.

2. Select the language and the region

Once the headset has started, select the language and region corresponding to your location. These settings affect the available content and the configuration of the virtual keyboard.

3. Connect to a Wi-Fi network

Choose a secure Wi-Fi network and enter the password if necessary. An internet connection is essential to complete the setup, receive system updates and access the Pico Store.

4. Accept the terms of use

You will be prompted to read and accept the general terms of use of Pico. This step is mandatory to continue the setup.

5. Log in or create a Pico account (if required)

Depending on the system version, you may be asked to log in to a Pico account. You can either sign in with an existing account or create one directly from the headset interface.

6. Install system updates

If updates are available, the system will prompt you to install them. It is recommended to install them immediately to benefit from the latest improvements and security patches.

7. Calibrate your headset

The device will ask you to properly position the headset on your head to optimize comfort and motion tracking. Also, adjust the interpupillary distance (IPD) if necessary.

8. Follow the quick start tutorial (optional)

An interactive tutorial may be offered to introduce basic features: menu navigation, controller use, return to the main menu, etc. It can be skipped or restarted later from the settings.
