How to connect external storage to Vive Focus Vision?

The Vive Focus Vision allows you to connect external storage devices like a USB drive or external hard disk to access or transfer files.

1. Prepare the storage device

  • Supported formats: Make sure the device is formatted in FAT32, ext4, or exFAT to be recognized by the headset.
  • Compatibility: Check device compatibility—some SSDs/HDDs may require external power.

2. Connect external storage to the headset

  1. Plug the device into the USB Type-C port on the right side of the headset.
  2. A dialog will appear indicating a storage device has been detected.
  3. Select Open to access the files via the File Browser.

3. Browse and manage files

Once connected, you can:

  • View images and play videos stored on the device.
  • Install APK files directly from the storage device.

4. Copy files between the headset and external storage

  1. Insert the memory card or USB drive.
  2. Put on the headset, then open File Browser by going to Settings > Storage > File Browser.
  3. Open the Captures folder where screenshots and recordings are saved.
  4. Select files to copy: point to a file and press the trigger to select it. You can select multiple files or choose Select All.
  5. Copy to external storage: Choose Copy and select the destination (microSD or USB). Files will be copied to the root folder of the external device.
  6. Copy from external storage to the headset: Only files can be copied into the headset’s Downloads folder.

To connect external storage to the Vive Focus Vision, plug it into the USB-C port, open the File Browser, and access your files. You can also transfer screenshots, videos, or apps easily between the headset and external storage.
