How do I reset the controllers on the Pico Neo 3 Enterprise/Pro (Eye)?

Resetting the Pico Neo 3 controllers can resolve connection, tracking, or headset recognition issues. This is useful when the controllers are unresponsive, fail to connect, or behave erratically.

1. When should you reset the controllers?

A reset may be necessary if:

  • One or both controllers no longer connect to the headset.
  • Tracking is inaccurate or absent.
  • A controller no longer appears in the headset settings.
  • A change of headset or environment causes connection issues.

2. Reset a controller manually

  1. Remove the battery from the affected controller.
  2. Wait approximately 10 seconds.
  3. Reinsert the battery into the controller.
  4. Press and hold the Pico button for a few seconds to turn the controller back on.

This will force a complete restart of the controller.

3. Put the controller back into pairing mode

If the controller does not reconnect automatically:

  1. Go to Settings > Controllers.
  2. Select the “Pair” option on the corresponding controller.
  3. Simultaneously hold down the Pico button and the trigger for 4 to 5 seconds. The light will flash, indicating pairing mode.
  4. Repeat the operation for the other controller if necessary.

The headset will then automatically detect the controller and finalize the connection.

4. Tips for persistent problems

  • Replace the batteries with new ones.
  • Avoid environments that are too dark or too bright, as this can interfere with tracking.
  • Restart the headset before repeating the procedure.
  • Check that the headset has the latest software version.

To reset the Pico Neo 3 controllers, remove and reinsert the batteries, then restart pairing using the Pico button and the trigger. This procedure fixes most connection issues and allows the controllers to function normally again.
