How to enable hand tracking on the Pico Neo 3 Enterprise/Pro (Eye)?

Hand tracking, which allows you to interact in virtual reality without controllers, is not available on the Pico Neo 3, including its Enterprise, Pro, and Pro Eye versions.

1. No hand tracking on the Pico Neo 3

The Pico Neo 3 exclusively uses:

  • Inside-out 6DoF tracking for the headset.
  • 6DoF controllers for interactions.

The headset does not have the sensors or algorithms necessary for controller-free hand tracking. Therefore, there is no option to enable hand tracking in the system settings.

2. Why the option does not appear in the settings

Even after a software update:

  • There is no “Hand Tracking” menu.
  • No Pico Neo 3 application supports this feature.

This is normal and in line with the official hardware specifications of the Pico Neo 3.

3. Alternative for interacting without controllers

On the Pico Neo 3, interaction must be done via:

  • The controllers supplied with the headset.
  • Interactions specifically designed by certain professional applications, always based on controllers.

Hand tracking is a feature reserved for other, more recent Pico models, but not for the Neo 3 range.

It is not possible to enable hand tracking on the Pico Neo 3, as the headset does not support hand tracking without controllers. The use of 6DoF controllers remains the only method of interaction available on this model.
