How to pair controllers with Vive Focus Vision?

The Vive Focus Vision comes with two controllers that must be paired during the initial setup or after a reset. Pairing is done automatically, but you can manually pair them if needed.

1. Powering on the controllers

• Before pairing the controllers, make sure the headset is turned on.
• Turn on each controller by holding down the VIVE button until it vibrates.
• The controllers should automatically pair with the headset.

2. Automatic pairing

• By default, the controllers connect automatically during the first-time setup.
• If the connection fails, you’ll need to pair them manually.

3. Manual pairing in case of issues

If your controllers are not detected, you can manually pair them via the headset settings or by using a button combination.

Method via headset settings:

1. Open the headset menu to access settings.
2. Select Inputs -> Controller.
3. Click Pair new for each controller you want to reconnect.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the pairing process.

Method via Vive Manager:

• You can also pair new controllers using Vive Manager on your smartphone.
• Open the app and go to the device settings to re-pair the controllers.

Method using a button combination:

If the above methods do not work, try this procedure:

1. Press and hold Menu + Y and Vive + B simultaneously for 2 seconds.
2. The controller LEDs will blink blue, indicating pairing mode.
3. The headset should detect and automatically pair the controllers.

4. Verifying proper functionality

• Test the responsiveness of the controllers by navigating the headset menu.
• Recalibrate the controllers if needed via the settings.
• If the controllers still don’t respond, restart the headset and repeat the pairing procedure.
