How to connect Meta Quest 3S to your Android device or PC?

The Meta Quest 3S provides an immersive VR experience, and connecting it to Android devices or a PC allows you to expand its capabilities. Whether you want to manage your headset via smartphone or access richer VR content on a PC, follow the steps below for a successful connection.

1. Connect the Meta Quest 3S to an Android device

1. Download the Meta Horizon app available for free on the Google Play Store.
2. Open the app and log in. Use your existing Meta account or create a new one.
3. Press and hold the power button on the right side of the headset until the Meta logo appears.
4. Ensure both the headset and smartphone are on the same Wi-Fi network.
5. In the app, go to “Devices” and tap the menu icon at the bottom right, then select “Devices”.
6. To pair a new device, tap “Pair new device”, then select “Meta Quest 3S”.
7. A 5-digit code will appear in the headset; enter it in the app to complete pairing.

Once connected, you can manage headset settings, install apps remotely, and cast the headset display to your smartphone.

2. Connect the Meta Quest 3S to a PC

There are two main methods to connect your Meta Quest 3S to a PC:

a. USB cable connection (Meta Quest Link)

1. Ensure your PC meets the minimum VR requirements.
2. Download and install the Meta Quest Link app for PC available from the official Meta website.
3. Use a high-quality USB-C 3.0 cable to connect the headset to a USB 3.0 port on your PC.
4. Put on the headset and approve the USB connection request.
5. In the headset, go to “Quick Settings” > “System” > “Quest Link”, select your PC, and start the connection.

This method offers a stable VR experience with minimal latency, ideal for demanding games.

b. Wireless connection via Air Link

1. Ensure both the headset and PC are on the same Wi-Fi network. A 5 GHz Wi-Fi connection is recommended for optimal performance.
2. In the Meta Quest app for PC, go to settings and enable Air Link.
3. In the headset, go to “Quick Settings” > “Link”, then activate Air Link.
4.  From the list of available devices, choose your PC and follow the on-screen steps to establish the connection.
