How do I check the available storage on the Vive XR Elite?

The Vive XR Elite has internal storage used for apps, media files, and system data. Checking the available storage regularly helps you manage the headset more effectively on a daily basis, especially if you install multiple VR experiences, record videos, or transfer content.

1. Check available storage in Settings

You can view available storage directly from the headset interface.

  1. Open the main menu, then go to Settings.
  2. Go to the Storage section.
  3. Check total space, used space, and available space.

This information lets you quickly see if you can still install new apps or add files.

2. Identify what is taking up space

From this same menu, you can identify the content that uses the most memory.

  • Installed apps.
  • Photos and videos saved on the headset.
  • System files and associated data.

This view helps you better understand where the used space comes from and more easily identify what can be deleted.

3. Free up space if necessary

If available memory becomes too low, you can delete certain content directly from the headset.

  1. Open the library or the list of installed apps.
  2. Select the apps you no longer use.
  3. Uninstall them to free up space.
  4. Also delete any photos, videos, or other files that are no longer needed.

You can also transfer certain files to another storage device to keep your content without filling up the internal storage.

You can check the available storage on the Vive XR Elite directly in the headset settings, in the storage section. This allows you to monitor remaining space, better understand what is taking up storage, and take quick action if storage starts to run low.
