How to adjust the IPD on the Pico 4 Ultra Enterprise?

The IPD (Inter Pupillary Distance) is a crucial setting to ensure a sharp image and a comfortable VR experience. An incorrect pupillary distance can cause double vision or visual fatigue. On the Pico 4 Ultra Enterprise, the IPD can be manually adjusted via the headset settings.

1. What is IPD?

The IPD represents the distance between the centers of the user’s pupils. A precise adjustment allows for:

  • Increased sharpness by perfectly aligning the lenses with the eyes.
  • Better visual comfort by reducing eye strain.
  • Optimized immersion thanks to a realistic and natural 3D perception.

2. Manual IPD adjustment

  1. Access the headset settings
    1. Turn on the headset and open the main menu.
    2. Select Settings > Pupillary Distance.
  2. Modify the pupillary distance
    1. A visual interface will appear, displaying a centered green circle.
    2. Use the + and buttons to adjust the IPD until the image becomes sharp and clear.
    3. The pupillary distance value (in millimeters) is displayed at the center of the screen (between 58 mm and 72 mm).
  3. Precautions when adjusting
    1. Do not force the lenses to avoid any damage.
    2. A pupillary distance that is too narrow may cause contact with the bridge of your nose.

The Pico 4 Ultra Enterprise provides a manual adjustment, accessible from the display settings.
