How to connect Bluetooth devices to the Meta Quest 3S?

The Meta Quest 3S allows you to connect certain Bluetooth devices, such as headphones, keyboards, or game controllers. This enhances audio comfort, productivity, or navigation in compatible apps.

1. Access Bluetooth settings

To get started, power on the headset and follow these steps:

  1. Press the Meta button on the right controller to open the universal menu.
  2. Select the Settings” icon (gear).
  3. Go to Device > Bluetooth.
  4. Enable Bluetooth if it’s not already turned on.

You will now see the list of paired devices and can add new ones.

2. Put your device in pairing mode

Depending on the device type (headphones, keyboard, controller…), put it into Bluetooth pairing mode:

  1. Check the device manual for instructions (usually holding a button).
  2. Wait for the device to appear in the headset’s available devices list.

3. Select the device on the headset

Once the device is visible:

  1. Click its name in the list within the Bluetooth settings on the Meta Quest 3S.
  2. The system will connect and show a notification once pairing is successful.

If pairing fails, make sure the device isn’t connected to another device or move it away from interference sources.

4. Check compatibility based on usage

The Meta Quest 3S supports:

  • Bluetooth headphones/earbuds: ideal for wireless audio, though may experience audio lag in fast-paced VR games.
  • Bluetooth keyboards: useful for productivity environments or typing.
  • Bluetooth game controllers (Xbox, PlayStation): only for 2D apps or cloud gaming, not for 6DoF VR games.

Bluetooth mice are not natively supported.

5. Manage paired devices

To remove or manage an already connected device:

  1. Return to Settings > Bluetooth.
  2. Select the target device.
  3. Choose Forge”t or Disconnect” as needed.

This helps free up Bluetooth channels or fix stability issues.

The Meta Quest 3S lets you connect Bluetooth devices through Settings > Device > Bluetooth. Whether for audio, typing, or control, this wireless connection offers more freedom—just beware of latency in VR gaming scenarios.
