What are the differences between the Pico Neo 3 Enterprise, Pico Neo 3 Pro, and Pico Neo 3 Pro Eye?

The Pico Neo 3 Enterprise, Pico Neo 3 Pro, and Pico Neo 3 Pro Eye share a common technical base but differ in three key areas: storage capacity, eye tracking, and the material of the rear headband. Here is a clear comparison to help you make your choice.

1. Storage

  • Pico Neo 3 Enterprise: 128 GB of internal storage.
  • Pico Neo 3 Pro: 256 GB of internal storage.
  • Pico Neo 3 Pro Eye: 256 GB of internal storage.

Storage is an important criterion if you use:

  • Large professional applications.
  • 360° videos.
  • Offline content.
  • Screen recordings or frequent captures.

The Pro and Pro Eye models offer more comfortable capacity for content-rich deployments. None of the models offer SD card expansion.

2. Eye tracking

  • Pico Neo 3 Enterprise: no eye tracking.
  • Pico Neo 3 Pro: no eye tracking.
  • Pico Neo 3 Pro Eye: integrated eye tracking.

Eye tracking is a hardware feature exclusive to the Pico Neo 3 Pro Eye. It requires calibration by the user and can only be used by compatible applications, including for:

  • Gaze analysis.
  • Research and UX studies.
  • Certain advanced training courses.
  • Specific uses such as foveated rendering.

The headset system does not use eye tracking by default.

3. Headband and materials

The models also differ in the material used for the rear headband, an important consideration in multi-user environments.

  • Pico Neo 3 Enterprise: soft fabric headband, lightweight and comfortable, suitable for individual use or limited rotation.
  • Pico Neo 3 Pro: soft silicone headband, easier to clean and better suited to intensive professional environments.
  • Pico Neo 3 Pro Eye: silicone headband, identical to the Pro model, designed for easy maintenance and hygiene.

Silicone is particularly relevant in training, loan, or shared use contexts, as it is more resistant to regular cleaning.

4. What remains unchanged

The three models share exactly the same technical specifications:

  • Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2.
  • Display: LCD 1,832 × 1,920 pixels per eye.
  • Tracking: inside-out 6DoF headset.
  • Controllers: identical 6DoF.
  • Audio: built-in speakers and microphone.
  • Connectivity: USB-C, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth.
  • Equivalent performance, battery life, and ergonomics.

There is no difference in power or display quality between the models.

5. Choose based on your scenario

Choose the Pico Neo 3 Enterprise if your storage needs are moderate and you don’t need advanced features. Opt for the Pico Neo 3 Pro if you deploy more content or frequently work offline. Choose the Pico Neo 3 Pro Eye only if your use cases explicitly require eye tracking, in addition to expanded storage.

The choice between the Pico Neo 3 models comes down mainly to storage capacity (128 GB vs. 256 GB), the presence of eye tracking, and the type of headband. Otherwise, the performance and specifications are identical, allowing you to select the headset that best suits your deployment, analysis, or training requirements.
