How to troubleshoot performance issues with the Pico 4 Ultra Enterprise?

If you experience performance issues with your Pico 4 Ultra Enterprise, such as slowdowns, stuttering, or long loading times, several solutions can help improve the user experience.

1. Update the headset firmware

Firmware updates often provide performance improvements and bug fixes.

  1. Access the headset’s Settings.
  2. Navigate to the System Update section.
  3. If an update is available, follow the instructions to install it.

Ensure the headset is sufficiently charged and connected to a stable Wi-Fi network during the update process.

2. Manage applications and storage

Full storage or background applications can affect performance.

  1. Checking storage space: Go to Settings, then to the About tab and select Total ROM to see how much space is being used. Then delete any unnecessary applications or files to free up space.
  2. Managing background applications: Close any unused applications that may be consuming resources.

3. Adjust performance settings

The Pico 4 Ultra Enterprise allows you to change certain settings to optimize performance.

  1. Access video settings: Open the headset’s Settings. Navigate to General, then enable Video Enhancement.
  2. Go to Settings, then Performance: enable high-quality display or High Performance in multi-window mode. Enable or disable the battery saver.

4. Check the headset temperature

Overheating can lead to reduced performance.

  • Use in a suitable environment: Ensure you use the headset in an environment with moderate ambient temperatures.
  • Gaming sessions: Avoid prolonged sessions without breaks to allow the headset to cool down.

5. Reset the headset to factory settings

If the other solutions do not resolve the issue, it may be necessary to reset the device to factory settings.

  1. Back up your data: Before proceeding, back up all important data.
  2. Reset procedure:
    1. Go to Settings.
    2. Select About, then Factory reset.
    3. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the reset. If the problems persist, a factory reset may be considered. Note that this operation will erase all data from the headset.

A factory reset will erase all data on the headset. If performance issues persist after these steps, it is recommended to contact Pico’s technical support for further assistance.
