The Meta Quest 3S makes it easy to take screenshots of what you see in the headset, to save a visual, interface, or specific moment in an app. This feature is accessible via simple shortcuts.

1. Use the controller shortcut

The fastest way to take a screenshot:

  2. Hold for 1 second, then release.

An animation or shutter sound will confirm the screenshot was taken.

2. Use the sharing menu

You can also use the headset’s interface:

  1. Press the Oculus button to open the universal menu.
  2. Select the Share” (or Camera) icon.
  3. Choose the Take Photo” option.

This can be more convenient when you want to capture a precise moment without pressure.

3. Access your screenshots

Screenshots are stored locally in the headset:

  1. Open the Gallery” or Files” app.
  2. Your screenshots are in the Captures” or Pictures/Screenshots” folder.
  3. From there, you can view, delete, or transfer them to a PC.

To transfer screenshots to your computer:

  1. Connect the headset via USB-C.
  2. Allow file access when prompted.
  3. Browse the Oculus > Screenshots folder via your file explorer.

To take a screenshot on the Meta Quest 3S, use the Oculus + Trigger shortcut or go to Share > Take Photo. Your screenshots are saved locally and can be transferred to a PC for easy sharing.
