How to reset the Pico G3(+) controller?

If you experience connection problems or abnormal operation of the Pico G3 controller, you can reset it to restore proper functioning.

1. Restart the controller

Before performing a full reset:

  1. Remove the battery from the controller.
  2. Wait a few seconds.
  3. Replace the battery and turn the controller back on by briefly pressing the Home button.

A simple restart often fixes minor connection or operating issues.

2. Reset the controller

If restarting is not enough:

  • Press the “trigger,” “touchpad,” and “home” buttons on the controller simultaneously.
  • Hold these three buttons down for about 10 seconds until the LED indicator changes state.
  • The controller will then enter pairing mode.

You can then reconnect the controller to the headset by following the instructions displayed in Settings > Controllers on the Pico G3.

3. Reset pairing via the headset

Additional information:

  • Go to the main menu > Settings > Controllers.
  • Select Unpair Controller to remove the current pairing.
  • Restart pairing by following the steps to reset the controller.

This will fix any persistent connection issues between the headset and the controller.

4. Check the battery status

A low battery charge can also cause malfunctions:

  • Use a new alkaline battery of type AA (1.5 V) recommended by Pico.
  • Replace the battery as soon as the controller shows signs of disconnection or the LED flashes rapidly in blue.

Resetting the Pico G3 controller is quick and easy with a specific button combination. For persistent issues, a restart, manual pairing, and a fresh battery usually restore normal operation.
