How do I view 360° photos on the Vive XR Elite?

The Vive XR Elite lets you view 360° photos to enjoy immersive experiences, such as virtual tours, memories, or professional content. These images can be viewed directly from the headset, provided you use a compatible app or media.

1. Prepare your 360° photos

Before viewing them, make sure your files are compatible.

  • Use photos in 360° format.
  • Verify that the files are in JPEG or PNG format.
  • Transfer the photos to the headset via USB-C, the cloud, or an app.

The files must be accessible from the headset’s storage.

2. Open a viewing app

To view 360° photos, use a compatible app.

  1. Open the headset’s library.
  2. Launch an app like Viveport Video or a compatible player.
  3. Navigate to the folder containing your images.

Some apps allow you to browse local files directly.

3. View the photo in 360° mode

Once the photo is open, enable the correct display mode.

  1. Select the 360° photo.
  2. Choose 360° / spherical mode if necessary.
  3. Adjust the display so that it fills your entire field of view.

You can then turn your head to explore the image.

The Vive XR Elite makes it easy to view 360° photos as long as you use compatible files and a suitable app. Once the images are imported and opened in spherical mode, you can explore them freely by turning your head, for a simple and effective immersive experience.
