How to install a software update on the Meta Quest 3S

The Meta Quest 3S regularly receives software updates that bring performance improvements, new features, and security fixes. These updates can be installed automatically or manually through the headset’s settings.

1. Connect the headset to a Wi-Fi network

Before updating:

• Make sure the Meta Quest 3S is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.
• Updates cannot be downloaded without an internet connection.

Place the headset on charge if the battery is below 50%, as the installation may be interrupted if the power is too low.

2. Check if an update is available

From the headset:

1. Press the Oculus button to open the universal menu.
2. Go to Settings > General > Software updates.
3. The headset will automatically check for available updates.

If an update is found, an “Install” or “Download” button will appear.

3. Start the update installation

If an update is offered:

1. Click “Install now”.
