How do I activate and calibrate eye tracking on the Pico Neo 3 Enterprise/Pro (Eye)?

Eye tracking is only available on the Pico Neo 3 Pro Eye, unlike the Neo 3 Enterprise and Neo 3 Pro versions. This feature tracks the user’s gaze and can be used in compatible professional applications, including analysis, performance optimization, and research.

1. Verify that you are using a Pico Neo 3 Pro Eye

Before proceeding, ensure that:

  • The model you are using is the Pico Neo 3 Pro Eye.
  • The headset has a software version compatible with eye tracking.

The Neo 3 Pro and Neo 3 Enterprise models without the Eye designation do not support this feature.

2. Enable eye tracking in the settings

  1. Turn on the Pico Neo 3 Pro Eye.
  2. Open Settings and go to the “Eye Tracking” section.
  3. Enable the Eye Tracking option.

Once enabled, the headset may request calibration.

3. Start eye tracking calibration

  1. In the eye tracking menu, select Calibrate.
  2. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  3. Look at the indicated points in succession without moving your head.
  4. Wait for confirmation that calibration is complete.

Calibration allows the tracking to be adapted to each user and must be redone if the user changes.

4. Use in applications

Eye tracking can only be used by compatible applications; it is not used by the default system interface. Common uses include gaze analysis or advanced research and training scenarios.

Eye tracking is only available on the Pico Neo 3 Pro Eye. It can be enabled from the headset settings and then calibrated in a few simple steps. This feature is a significant asset for advanced professional uses, provided that a compatible model is used.
